Eenos Version 3 adds Wildcard SSL certificate support through the Eenos DNS plugin, secure Webmail Single Sign-On (SSO), and full Dovecot 2.4 support, providing a more secure, reliable, and streamlined hosting environment. The release also begins the transition away from legacy components, including Dovecot 2.3 and the Eenos Simple File Manager, which are now deprecated and scheduled for removal in the next major release.

Deprecation and Removal

Dovecot 2.3 and Earlier

Eenos Version 3 focuses on Dovecot 2.4 as the supported Dovecot platform.

Eenos Simple File Manager
The Eenos Simple File Manager service has been deprecated in Eenos Version 3.

Customers using the Simple File Manager should begin transitioning to File Studio Enterprise.
The deprecated Simple File Manager components will be removed in the next major Eenos release.
Automatic Updates
If Eenos Auto Update is enabled on your server, Eenos Version 3 will be automatically installed as part of the normal Eenos update process.
No manual update action is required for servers with automatic updates enabled.
Administrators who manage updates manually can update their Eenos installation using the standard Eenos update mechanism.
Before upgrading production servers, administrators should ensure that they have current server and account backups and review the deprecated components listed above.
