Discover Eenos 3.0.1, the first Eenos 3 release featuring File Studio Enterprise, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Wildcard SSL, Webmail SSO, and full Dovecot 2.4 support.

Introduction

We are excited to announce Eenos 3.0.1, the first release in the Eenos 3 series and a major step forward for the Eenos hosting control panel.

Eenos 3.0.1 brings together a new generation of file management, expanded operating-system support, improved mail infrastructure, stronger SSL automation, and a more integrated hosting experience.

The release introduces Eenos File Studio Enterprise, adds official support for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and delivers important platform updates including Wildcard SSL with the Eenos DNS plugin, Webmail SSO, and full Dovecot 2.4 support.

At the same time, Eenos 3 begins the transition away from legacy components that are no longer part of the future Eenos architecture.

Introducing Eenos File Studio Enterprise

One of the biggest additions in Eenos 3.0.1 is Eenos File Studio Enterprise.

File management is one of the most frequently used features of any hosting control panel. With File Studio Enterprise, Eenos introduces a modern file-management experience designed to make managing websites, applications, configuration files, and other hosting data easier and more efficient.

File Studio Enterprise is deeply integrated into the Eenos workspace rather than being a separate, traditional file-manager interface.

Key File Studio Features

Modern File Explorer

Browse files and directories through a clean, responsive interface directly from the Eenos control panel.

List and Grid Views

Choose the view that works best for your workflow, whether you prefer a traditional detailed file list or a visual grid layout.

Multi-File Selection

Select multiple files and directories and perform operations on them together, making large file-management tasks significantly easier.

Complete File Operations

Create, rename, move, copy, archive, and delete files and directories from a single interface.

File Uploads

Upload files directly to your hosting account without requiring an external file-management application.

Folder Tree Navigation

Navigate complex directory structures quickly using the integrated folder tree.

Breadcrumb Navigation

Move between directories easily and always know your current location within the filesystem.

Background Job Monitoring

Long-running file operations can be monitored through the integrated job-monitoring system.

Security and Ownership Controls

File operations work with Eenos filesystem security and user ownership controls, helping maintain proper isolation between hosting accounts.

File Studio Enterprise is also the foundation for future Eenos workspace and developer-oriented features.

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Support

Eenos 3.0.1 officially adds support for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS provides a modern operating-system foundation with updated packages, libraries, security improvements, and long-term maintenance.

With this release, Eenos customers can deploy their hosting environments on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS while continuing to use the Eenos hosting platform and its integrated services.

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS support extends across the Eenos platform, including:

  • Web hosting
  • Mail services
  • DNS management
  • SSL automation
  • Database services
  • Backup systems
  • Security services
  • File Studio Enterprise
  • Server and hosting automation

This gives customers an additional modern and long-term-supported platform for new Eenos deployments.

Automated Wildcard SSL with Eenos DNS

Eenos has also improved SSL automation with support for Wildcard SSL certificates using the Eenos DNS plugin.

Wildcard certificates allow a single certificate to secure a domain and its subdomains, for example:

*.example.com

With DNS-based validation integrated into Eenos, the certificate issuance process can be automated without requiring administrators to manually configure DNS records each time a certificate is requested.

Benefits include:

  • Automated DNS validation
  • Wildcard certificate support
  • Integration with Eenos DNS
  • Simplified SSL deployment
  • Reduced manual configuration
  • Automated certificate renewal

This makes SSL management easier for hosting providers managing domains with multiple subdomains and services.

Webmail Single Sign-On

Eenos 3.0.1 also brings Webmail Single Sign-On (SSO) to the Eenos platform.

Users can launch Webmail directly from the Eenos control panel without repeatedly entering their mailbox credentials.

The integration uses a secure temporary authentication mechanism to establish the Webmail session.

This provides a smoother experience for both hosting customers and administrators.

Webmail SSO provides:

  • One-click Webmail access
  • Secure authentication tokens
  • Reduced need for repeated password entry
  • Better integration between Eenos and Webmail
  • Improved user experience

The result is a more seamless connection between hosting account management and email services.

Full Dovecot 2.4 Support

Eenos 3.0.1 provides full support for Dovecot 2.4.

Dovecot 2.4 introduces significant changes compared with previous Dovecot releases. Eenos has been updated to work with the modern Dovecot architecture and configuration model.

The updated integration includes support for authentication, mailbox management, quotas, and other mail-service components required by Eenos.

Dovecot 2.4 is now the recommended Dovecot platform for the Eenos 3 series.

Moving Away from Legacy Components

Eenos 3.0.1 is not only about new features. It also represents an important modernization of the Eenos platform.

As part of this transition, some older components have been marked as deprecated.

Dovecot 2.3 and Earlier

Support for Dovecot 2.3 and earlier has been deprecated.

Eenos 3 is designed around Dovecot 2.4 and future development will focus on the newer Dovecot architecture.

Existing installations using Dovecot 2.3 should plan their migration to Dovecot 2.4.

Dovecot 2.3 and earlier support will be removed in the next major Eenos release.

Eenos Simple File Manager

The legacy Eenos Simple File Manager service has also been deprecated.

It is being replaced by the new Eenos File Studio Enterprise platform.

File Studio Enterprise provides a significantly more modern foundation for file management and allows Eenos to continue expanding file-management and workspace capabilities.

Customers currently using the Simple File Manager should begin transitioning to File Studio Enterprise.

The deprecated Simple File Manager components will be removed in the next major Eenos release.

Automatic Updates

If Eenos Auto Update is enabled on your server, Eenos 3.0.1 will be automatically installed as part of the normal Eenos update process.

Administrators who manage Eenos updates manually can use the standard Eenos update mechanism.

Before upgrading production environments, we recommend ensuring that current backups are available and reviewing the deprecated components mentioned in this release.

Built for the Future of Hosting

Eenos 3.0.1 establishes the foundation for the Eenos 3.x release series.

The combination of File Studio Enterprise, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, modern SSL automation, Webmail SSO, and Dovecot 2.4 represents a significant evolution of the Eenos platform.

More importantly, the new architecture gives Eenos a foundation for continued improvements in server automation, workspace capabilities, developer tools, security, mail services, and hosting management.

What's Next for Eenos?

Eenos 3 is the beginning of a new development cycle.

With File Studio Enterprise and the Eenos workspace architecture, we are continuing to build a more integrated environment where hosting administrators and users can manage files, applications, websites, email, databases, and server services from a single platform.

Future releases will continue expanding these capabilities while improving performance, security, automation, and usability.

Eenos 3.0.1 is more than another update—it is the beginning of the next generation of Eenos.
